PC Support Specialist - Alvarado, TX    Apply
Responsibilities: Perform a full range of PC support functions including maintaining hardware and software, problem resolution, conduct individual and small group training, and assist individuals to effectively utilize their PC skills.
Requirements: Successful candidate must possess a two-year PC Specialist degree with direct hands-on support experience or equivalent is required. Strong knowledge and outstanding skills in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows applications is a must. Effective written and verbal communications skills also required. Energetic and positive attitude is a definite plus.
.NET Developer - Alvarado, TX    Apply
Responsibilities: Qualified individual will be responsible for design, implementation and maintenance of desktop applications using Microsoft Visual C# and Microsoft SQL Server. Individual will also provide application support through direct interaction with end-users.
Requirements: Successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in desktop application development as well as database design, programming and maintenance. Solid experience in OOP and relational database operation are a must as are excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Qualified candidate must be detail oriented and be able to work efficiently on multiple projects in a fast-paced, multi-disciplined, results-oriented environment. Candidate must be a self-starter willing to take on challenging assignments. Experience with ERP systems, manufacturing, engineering, drafting and hierarchical data, such as bills of materials is a plus. Drafter - Alvarado, TX    Apply
Responsibilities: Responsible for the day-to-day STS drafting department activities related to preparing shop drawings per customer’s drawings, specifications, and STS Engineering documents.
Requirements:
  • Highly prefer applicant with prior tower and pole transmission experience
  • Responsible for preparing complete and accurate AutoCAD fabrication drawings of steel transmission and utility structures as designed by STS engineering personnel.
  • Uses STS Engineering information, manufacturing parameters and customer’s technical specifications to create drawings.
  • Adheres to and has sound knowledge of all STS Drafting Dept standards, policies and processes.
  • Responsible for creating part numbers for standard and custom parts.
  • Responsible for updating and revising all drawings when changes are made to engineered designs.
  • Responsible for documenting all notes, engineering changes, customer requests, etc.
  • Responsible for completing jobs on time based on the STS Drafting schedule.
  • Work closely with Contract Administration, Purchasing, Engineering, and Production depts.

Maintenance - Alvarado, TX    Apply
Responsibilities: The incumbent of this position performs highly skilled and highly technical work involving installation, maintenance, and trouble shooting of hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic equipment.
Requirements:
  • Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on all plant equipment and facilities.
  • Performs diagnosis, testing, disassembly, inspecting, repair and re-assembly of plant equipment or components such as hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, hydraulic shear, vacuum equipment, roller leveler, cranes, etc.
  • Performs skilled trouble shooting and servicing of pneumatic and hydraulic components.
  • Performs proper replacement and/or adjustment of mechanical clutches, drive trains, etc.
  • Repair of worn parts, straightens and fabricates fixtures (welding, cutting, brazing, and surface hardening applications).
  • Assist junior personnel and operators in proper direction of equipment repairs.
  • Ability to perform major and general repairs on all equipment.
  • Required to record labor and material used on each repair made.
  • Required to take proper care and use of test equipment.
  • Required to properly use lift equipment (cranes, booms, manlifts, cherry picker, etc.)
  • Exercise communication skills pertaining to the job.
  • Occasionally will be called during irregular hours to handle production coverage with little or no supervision.
  • Reports all abnormal conditions and safety hazards to supervisor.
  • Will perform housekeeping and other routine tasks as directed.
  • Is diligent at all times to work safely, and to follow safe working practices, including Lockout/Tagout procedures and other safety procedures.
  • Lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, stretching, stooping, and working in awkward and/or confined positions.

Design Engineer I - Alvarado, TX    Apply
Responsibilities: Design Engineer I is responsible for the interpretation of customer specifications, creating optimum design of structures and their components, and providing technical information to other departments.
Requirements:
  • Design Engineer I is responsible for the interpretation of customer specifications, developing design proposal of structures, processing orders by using the company's approved related design procedures and computer software, supporting CAD drawing preparation and collaborating with manufacturing on processes and procurement.
  • Communications with customers, which may include customer contact by phone, letter, fax, email and in person, are required.
  • For training purposes, the Design Engineer I may perform more complex structural analysis and design to develop higher engineering knowledge and abilities.
  • Design Engineer I needs to attend different meetings (technical, pre-bid meeting, conference calls, trainings, safety, STS Quarterly All Call Meeting, etc...).

QC Visual Inspector - Alvarado, TX    Apply
Responsibilities: The QC Yard Inspector is responsible for visual dimensional inspection of poles, shafts, and ready for shipment.
  • Uses various dimensioning tools (i.e. 25/50 foot tape measure, 6” rules, combination squares, levels, etc) to ensure proper coatings have been applied when required.
  • Inspects parts to blue prints/design drawings.
  • Performs Visual Weld Inspections to the requirements of AWS D1.1.
  • Cross train in other areas of Quality Control Department and fill in when need arises.
  • Ensure that all documentation is accurately and neatly completed including pictures of loads.
  • Keep pass down log accurate.
  • Comply with Sabre Tubular Structures safety standards at all times.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor at all times with personnel of Quality Department and all departments at Sabre.
  • Performs other duties as required.
Requirements:
  • High School/GED preferred
  • CWI and or UT Inspector Certification preferred
  • Prior Magnetic Particle testing preferred
  • One year in Quality Control or related field in a manufacturing environment.
  • Have the ability to perform work functions while standing for long periods of time.
  • Have the ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Have the ability to climb and bend over in order to perform inspections.
  • Must be able to work in an open environment exposed to all climates.
  • Possess effective communication skills.
  • Must be able to read and write in English.
  • Must be able to read and interpret blue prints/design drawings.
  • Must be able to conduct dimensional inspections using various dimensioning tools (i.e., 25/50 foot tape measures, 6" rules, combination squares, levels etc.)
  • Must be able to meet the AWS D1.1 requirements of a visual weld inspector.

Responsibilities: Looking for Experienced Flux Core Welders with a minimum of 2 years verifiable Flux Core Work Experience or 5 years verifiable MIG experience
Requirements:
  • Previous Flux Core welding experience required
  • It is preferred that the experience is in a manufacturing environment
  • Must be capable of bending, stooping, crawling as well as lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to work in extreme temperatures
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Must be able to stand 100% of scheduled shift, while lifting, push, prying, and dragging heavy materials
  • Must be able to read, write, understand blueprints and weld symbols
  • Ability to communicate, read and write in English is required
